08/06/2011 jacksplace chooses Pressalit Care bathrooms

jacksplace, a purpose built hospice for young adults, has chosen specialist bathrooms from Pressalit Care for its new, state of the art facilities. Part of the Naomi House Children’s Hospice in Winchester, jacksplace provides palliative care, including respite, terminal and bereavement care to young adults and their families from central southern England.

Ray Kipling, chief executive of Naomi House says,
“The new bathrooms form a valuable part of the amazing new facilities at jacksplace. Having a bathroom that is designed to offer such a high level of independence for our residents means that they retain their self-esteem and dignity, which is so important for the young people who find themselves here."

“Where our residents need the assistance of a carer, the horizontal and vertical tracking mean that items such as the basins and shower chairs can be easily adjusted to provide a safe working environment.”
